My Europe trip posts begin! We've had some issues along the way with wifi and travelling non-stop but finally I have some time to post a few snippets from our first stop on our trip... Naples, Italy! We decided to spend the night in Naples so that we could wake up the next day and visit Pompeii on the way to the Amalfi Coast. It was an odd place but I have to say that our dinner was a very welcome sight. We ordered pizza & bruschetta, but instead of bruschetta we ended up with what you see above - a collection of what is essentially kitchen 'scraps'. It came out in a paper cone and included deep fried veggies, dough balls and cheese (if anyone knows the name of this dish please share!). Obviously there was a language issue but we actually loved it! So glad I accidentally ordered the dough balls. We had a little wander around town before crashing into bed to sleep off the effects of jet lag. Next post: Pompeii!
