Summer holidays are always great for reading but you're also distracted by the actual holiday in between - it's hard to actually get whisked away in the story. In winter you can spend hours in a comfy chair, with endless pots of tea and a good book. You know you're lost when you find a tear on your cheek after something terrible happens to a character you adore. I've got a soft spot for fantasy fiction and recently I've been reading the Gentleman Bastard series - the first being The Lies of Locke Lamora and I've just finished the second, Red Seas Under Red Skies. There's only 3 books at the moment but I believe there will be seven (plus a prequel). So I thought I would let you guys know so you could enjoy them too. Very easy reading, unpredictable and funny.
