Melbourne! [Part 1]

We spent a lovely extended weekend in Melbourne and it was amazing!
Our hotel was smack bang in the middle of the CBD on little Bourke street and it was nuts

We spent most of our money on great food and most of our time WALKING!
What i loved most about melbourne would have to be the buildings.

I think we did most of the walking and photo taking on the first day so this is only half of my photos.

Melbourne isn't what i was expecting but i think it was better.
It was much smaller than i thought and the hidden alleys were much busier!
So many hidden mysteries!

With the yellow taxis, old buildings and leafless trees i was reminded of new york and the sunlit alleyways with outside seating was very much like some in paris would be. I also felt a hint of sydney in the city so i guess it was a mix of the three for me.

I thought I would be doing a lot of shopping but we had much more fun having brunch and afternoon tea in the many many cafes.

blue eye baby

A week or so ago we had a family gathering at my grandma's house on a lazy sunday. Whilst there i meet the most amazing kitty. Not only was she fluffy, soft and had the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen but all she wanted was to snuggle up to me and be patted.

Photobucket

I usually wouldn't really pat strange cats i meet on the street (mostly because I always stumble upon scary black cats that stare at me till I pass by) but this one was so sweet and apparently tries to live in my grandma's house even though she lives a couple houses down.

Such a lovely sunny day (but still a little chilly) and a perfect time to sit on the lawn and embrace the tea drinking-picture taking-giggling 'old soul' within.

I am so crazy excited about finding this amazing lip colour from Lime Crime!
For so long I've been searching for an orange lipstick that wasn't red in disguise!

Lime Crime Make Up are all over the opaque lip colour scene, so if you like adding a splash of colour to your outfit take a look at their collection of colours here.
How cute is the glitter unicorn case!?
They also have 'magic dust' eyeshadow

If you guys follow me on twitter you'll know that i just booked my trip to melbourne! I am so excited!

We are planing on staying in the CBD most of the time (to go down every street and ally we can find!) but also might be heading out to camberwell markets on a sunday.
Dear those who live in melbourne or have been before, where else should i go?
(If you don't know already i love vintage and arty things and love bargain hunting. So anywhere that involves these things)

I'd also love to know any cool places to have breakfast, brunches, lunches and dinners?

Spin Dizzy Fall for MIMCO: An Unpredictable Revolution

Photobucket

"An Unpredictable Revolution is a story torn from the pages of a dark debutante's diary."

Mimco's latest Campain, 'An Unpredictable Revolution', takes inspiration from the 1700s and 1800s. I was asked by Mimco to style an outfit to go with this lovely mimco handbag and we decided to visit a beautiful garden nearby.

'Darkness becomes her' reflects on Victorian times when Albert had died and the Queen was without her greatest love.
