Broadway's Moving Catwalk

Yesterday I had the pleasure of going behind the scenes at Australia’s first moving catwalk! Hosted by Broadway Shopping Centre the catwalk featured both men’s and woman’s trends for the upcoming season, all styled by Catharine Sarjeant and selected from the stores at Broadway including Marcs, Bardot, Cotton On, Sheike and more! See a quick video from the show here.

The show was to celebrate the launch of Broadway’s #BeYou Booth which will be open to shoppers from Monday 2nd of June (next week! Wow time does fly, huh?) till the 15^th of June - Mon, Tue Wed & Fri 12pm-4pm, Thursday 12pm-8pm and weekends 11am-3pm. At the #BeYou Booth you get to play dress ups with some of the styles seen at the show and take a snap in the booth to be printed out to take home. I had a fab time striking poses with the lovely Bonnie of the blog ozbeautyexpert. I wore this cute little black lace panel dress from the new Candidate collection at General Pants, vintage belt and Zu shoes. Easy Bittersweet Cacao Brownies

I posted this photo of my Bittersweet Brownies on instagram and a few people requested the recipe so I thought I would post it here on my blog! I love this recipe because it's very simple, uses cacao powder and it's not sickly sweet. The are lovely and rich with dense middles.  I also like to make small portions, as who really needs 16 brownies ... unless they are having a party ... or a really bad week! 

Prep time: 10 mins

Cook time: 30 mins

Total: 40 mins

Ingredients 

70g unsalted, melted butter

125g raw sugar

30g cacao powder

Pinch of salt

1 large cold egg

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup (35g) all-purpose flour

40g chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

1. Heat oven to 165 degrees Celsius. Line the bottom and sides of a 15cm square baking pan with baking paper (leave enough on two opposite sides so you can remove brownies later).

2.  Combine butter, sugar, cacao powder and salt in a medium bowl. Heat the mixture slightly (till warm - in microwave or in a heat-safe bowl over a saucepan of water ) in order to create a smoother mixture.

3. Use a wooden spoon to stir in vanilla. Add egg and stir vigorously until batter looks thick and well blended. Next, stir in flour and beat with a spoon for 50 strokes. Lastly, stir in nuts (optional).

4. Spread evenly in the lined pans and bake in oven for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick can be inserted into center and come out almost clean (a slightly moist mixture is key!) - if not then bake for a further 5-10 minutes.

5. Cool completely then remove from the pan. Place into freezer for 20-30 minutes to create nice clean lines when cutting. Cut into 9 small squares. Store in fridge or enjoy straight away!

Dots N Pops

I LOVE that even though it's almost winter, we are still prancing around in crop tops here in Sydney (well, I am anyway)! Let's hope these lovely non-chilly autumn days hang around for winter *touch wood*. This crop was actually a killer find as it's perfect for transeasonal dressing - the sleeves are the perfect length - almost like a designer boxy top style. On a side note, I feel like I'm having a major fat-face moment in these photos! I can usually tell if I've been eating too much just by looking at my cheeks/chin. However, I've been enjoying food too much lately, so let's just hope it's the illusion of the hairstyle (...denial)! Anyone who knows some great face workouts, please let me know. Happy Sunday!

أحد أشهر السلايدر المتاح لمنصة بلوجر والذي امتلأ به الإنترنت شرقاً وغرباً لكن هناك معلومتين قليل من يذكرهما عن هذا السلايدر أولهما أن لهذا السلايدر نسختين أحب ان اسميهما التوأم متشابهتان كثيراً الفرق بينهما في التنسيق فالأولى أفقية تتناسب اكثر مع الاماكن العريضة والأخرى رأسية تناسب السايدر بار والمساحات الصغيره وهناك الكثيرين من يخلطون بينهم فيركب تلك مكان هذه ويصبح المظهر غير مضبوط , المعلومة الثانية التي يتغافل الكثير عن ذكرها في الإعدادات البعض لا يذكر ان هذا السلايدر ليس فقط لآخر المواضيع ولكنه أيضاً يمكن ان يكون لآخر المواضيع من قسم محدد وليس المدونة باكملها وهنا ستكون فائدته أكبر ان كان لديك قسم عليه إقبال كبير فمن الجيد ان تستخدم السلايدر فيه وسنتطرق لتلك الأمور في موضوعنا لكن اولا يمكنك معاينة السلايدر بنسختيه من الرابط التالي

ستلاحظون أن الاول جعلته لآخر المواضيع من المدونة كاملة والثاني جعلته ياتي بآخر مواضيع قسم القوالب فقط طبعا يمكن تخصيص الأول بالقسم أيضاً لكن فقط حتى اوضح الفرق في المعاينة

ان اردت ان يكون السلايدر داخل اطار وخلفية كما في مثال المعاينة اضف الكود بين الكودين التاليين

Coastal Roadtrip Day 2

Day 2 of our road trip to Kiama was a blast! Despite being a tad hungover from the night before we managed to fit in so many sights & fun activities. We visited the Crooked River winery for some wine tasting and lunch which was created and cooked by Coop Woodstone, a past Master Chef contestant (I ordered the pork belly & scallop - pictured - so amazing)! After driving up the steepest road I've ever seen we spent a little time at the Saddleback Mountain lookout (600m above sea level) which was a stunning view of the ocean and countryside. Next was the lighthouse and the famous Kiama blowhole. The afternoon was spent enjoying wine-time of course! I made a bread cheese dip which held a whole wheel of baked brie - crazy rich! Lack of Colour

I absolutely loved the beach house we stayed in when we went on our road trip to Kiama. The daring scandinavian styling really won me over. It was an absolute dream! You can see a bit more of it in my latest video on youtube here, if you missed it. I wore this on the second day of our trip - day 2 photo diary coming soon!
