THE PEAK

We arrived in Hong Kong last Saturday and since we knew Typhoon Usagi was on it's way we decided to change our plans and head up to The Peak ahead of schedule. Good thing we did because we got to see an amazing view of the city all lit up before the storm hit the next day. The full moon had just past a few days before so when it decided to peek out from the clouds it was magic!

We took the tram back down the mountain and for those who haven't been, the tram is on a diagonal slope (about 45 degree angle) and goes pretty fast! Luke and I got on last so we were smack-bang at the front of the carriage looking down the hill as if it were  roller coaster! This was only the beginning of our adventure.

HONG KONG: Day 1

Travelling to Hong Kong last Saturday was exciting to say the least! Not only were we over there for a quick trip, planning on pack as much as we could into very little time, but there was also a Typhoon on the way! The biggest storm of 2013 was set to rock Hong Kong and luckily we landed in time to see the pink sunset and what could only be described as the 'calm before the storm'. 

Having lived in Sydney all my life I've never had the chance to experience a tropical storm and seeing all the warnings and storm tracking throughout the city was fascinating. We arrived at our hotel to an amazing welcome package from our HK hosts Catwalk 88. We then set off to see some of the city before the storm hit. Next post: The Peak!

Lastly, I have to note my shoes in this outfit as ix sandals not only have wicked designs but by buying one pair of these sandals you can be helping to provide clean drinking water for children in Guatemala. See more about their mission here!

Birthday Suit

Yesterday, we headed into Surry Hills for sangria and antipasto nibbles at The Winery to celebrate my upcoming birthday. I had an amazingly, dreamy afternoon in the sun (and it was supposed to be raining all afternoon!) and the food was just.... too good to describe. Check it out on my instagram for some hashtag-foodporn. 

Speaking of instagram, earlier today I announced that next Saturday, Luke and I will be on our way to Hong Kong! A very quick trip of 5 days so if you have any 'absolute-must-see' places in HK let me know and I'll be very thankful.

Black Tie - #Limousine Party

Last week I attended a very fancy-smancy black tie event for the launch of Westfield's fashion film, #Limousine, staring non other than Sydney blogger babe, Nicole Warne. The party was held in Bondi Junction Westfield and guests were treated to champagne wielded by 'limousine drivers' plus fruit & cheese boards (read: tables) fit for royals.

I wore this little black number which I feel has a subtle glamour-slash-grunge look about it. As soon as it arrived from PinkLuxe I tried it on and it was a perfect fit! Seriously, I'm in love with it and I think it will be my go-to little black dress for a while.
